Mary Nanette spent a week and a half in Colorado with Pa. D flew out and spent the first few days with her, then he came back and she came back a few days later with Pa.

Gig was flying out the same day they flew in and had arranged for a big family farewell/welcome gathering at Pass Key that afternoon.
Gabby drove with them from Colorado Springs to Howard and spent several days with them at the cabins.

Chad and Bonnie and their children joined them at the cabin and Gavin stuck around and hung with Mary Nanette for most of the trip. They fished in the creek and tried out Pa's zipline (an idea I had last summer that Pa ran with!).
They did another mountain trail ride, which was one of the highlights of the trip for MNB.
And St. Elmo's always another highlight.

MNB and Gavin did a lot of bonding that week. Although at one point he said she was the bossiest person he'd ever met and at one point she told him he wasn't as funny as he thought he was, they were pretty much inseparable and shared lots of laughs and fun times. He even gave her a knife from the knife collection he proudly showed her (that D remembered used to be Chad's when they were children).
I love that our girls have cousins on D's side of the family to grow up with. She was even able to spend some time with Devin and Erika's kids and Ali and Beth's little ones. Grandma Bee, Honey and Skippy Pippy, too!

The whole trip was a great experience. From riding to fishing, ziplining to hiking (they hiked up to the cave off Highway 50), she had a wonderful time and seemed to grow and mature so much.
