Last week, President Martelly signed off on our adoption and we exited IBESR! Several other families that entered around the same time we did exited over the last couple of months so we’ve been hopeful that we’d hear good news soon. Sadly, there are some families that have been stuck in that stage for much longer than us--there seems to be no rhyme or reason in the order of processing. We still have a bunch more hoops to jump through to get our boys home (I took the time to write them all out HERE) but this is a HUGE step! It seems that the rest of the steps are a little less mysterious and a little more predictable than IBESR and the President’s desk. I guess we shall see as we continue on this great adoption adventure. Next month, we’ll be making another trip down to Haiti to make our appearances at lower and upper courts and for our I-600 paperwork appointment and interview with the U.S. Embassy. A 2013 homecoming is looking like a very real possibility!
