Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch. . .
Mr. B has spent the past few days in Gisenyi (right on the Rwanda/Democratic Reublic of Congo border near Lake Kivu) making improvements to the Noel Orphanage and loving on the kiddos there. The internet service was not as dependable there as in Kigali but he has been journaling and more trip updates should be coming soon. We've been able to talk to him every day which has been great, because we girls are missing him at home for sure! Mr. B is a very hands-on daddy, so we can really feel it when he's gone. Weekdays have been pretty crazy (for me at least!)--getting through the morning and evening routines, juggling work and school schedules, drop-offs and pick-ups, etc.. has been a challenge. Our weekends have been pretty breezy and relaxing, though, and we've been able to make some memories together and spend time with some dear friends and family. One of the highlights of last weekend was a trip to Coon Hollo Farm's Fall Festival, where we met up with one of my lifelong best friends (and M's namesake) and her family.
Here are some pictures from our afternoon at Coon Hollo!
