An Evening with Britt Nicole

We took our big girls to their first concert Monday evening--Britt Nicole! Britt Nicole is Miss M's favorite singer and our girls were beyond excited to see her in real life! Last week, one of our local Christian radio stations gave away a set of meet and greet passes each day. We didn't mention it to Miss M (didn't want to get her hopes up), but Mr. B and I (and even a couple of friends we recruited to the cause) called in every time they were up for grabs. I don't think I've called in to a radio station contest since high school but we really did have fun listening for the prompt to call and waiting in suspense while the line rang. Too funny! Disappointingly, we never did get through. We figured the next best thing would be to sit close to the front (the show was general admission), so we arrived at the venue 2 hours before the doors opened. While we were waiting in line for the doors to open, my cousin J and two of his daughters showed up. Because of his work with Disney's Night of Joy over the years, Disney had given him backstage passes for the show! When Miss M told them how much she likes Britt Nicole and her music, they proceeded to take her hand and walk her backstage with them to meet Britt Nicole and Audrey Assad while we settled into our third row seats! WOW! We were reminded that there's always a bigger picture we can't see, and that the Lord knows even the smallest of our hearts' desires. While we were bummed last week that we didn't win the meet-and-greet passes (we just knew we wanted them more than all the other callers), He orchestrated something even better--VIP treatment (with chocolate chip cookies and EVERYTHING, as Miss M reported) and a memory shared with sweet cousins! And He gave J and his girls and opportunity to bless our socks off! Miss M with Britt Nicole: The cousins with the super-talented Audrey Assad who opened the show: Holding up the posters they got autographed!: And here's a short video clip of Miss M singing along to Walk on the Water (taken with our phone in the dark so not the best quality, but adorable anyway!) I just love how she puts her heart into everything she sings! (please scroll down and pause (II) the background music before playing):
