Miss M turns 6 this week! We celebrated on Saturday with a bunch of her little kindergarten friends at a dinosaur-themed park that the girls have wanted to visit for a long time (the giant T-Rex along the interstate is a favorite landmark). The party was a "roaring" success! Miss M was so happy to have her little friends there--she just smiled and laughed the entire time! Even her teacher was able to drop in for a little while--which made it extra special for the children. Here are a few pictures:
Haha--we won't be putting those last two crazy pics in Diamond's album (though we believe that she's already one of us and those might be the pictures that make it all click in her little head, her special mothers might be a little concerned).
Party Sources (in case you're wondering and for my own future reference): Invites--Polka Dot Design Dinosaur Dress: Elise Hooper Designs on Etsy Food--chips, pretzels, goldfish, grapes, Chick-Fil-A breakfast sandwiches Drink--Chick-Fil-A Lemonade Favors--Cellophane bags with plastic dinosaurs, bubbles and candy Decorations--plastic pith helmets from Party City, helium balloons, colored tableware from Party City and Wal-Mart And the cake--My mother asked a friend of hers who makes cakes as a hobby to make the cake for the party. She asked for one of the invitations for inspiration and this amazing cake is what she had ready on the morning of the party. We were amazed! We knew she was talented but had no idea she was going to create something as awesome as the one she came up with. It was delicious, too!
Awesome cake! And love those last 2 pics...spectacular! :) Will you add those in the photo book for your Ethiopian babe?
ReplyDeleteLove the last couple of pics :) Happy Birthday!!! Looked fun!
