Yesterday, our Gators beat rival Tennessee, 23 to 13. A great win against another great SEC team.
Don't look for any Coach K bashing on the B Family Blog--he's married to a dear childhood friend of mine (who also happened to be in the group of mutual friends that introduced me to Hus-B and used to courier our love notes back and forth (and who also happens to be a former GATOR!)). His off-season tough talkin' certainly increased the intensity of the game, though--especially in the stands! Wow, what fun! We hope Coach K's career at Tennessee is long, distinguished and record-setting, but we also hope our beloved Gators continue to find a way stomp those Vols!
I've never seen so much blue in the stands! Coach Meyer requested all of the Gator fans to wear blue since Tennessee shares our orange.
Coach K hard at work:

Oh no. I thought we could be friends. But alas, it has come down to this. Rocky Top, you'll always be home sweet home to me! Good 'ol Rocky Top (WHOO!), Rocky Top Tennessee! Go VOLS! :)
ReplyDeleteToo funny, Teresa! I was waiting for your comment :)
ReplyDeleteI thought about you this weekend--was thinking how fitting your little Orange's name is!
I have a family full of gator fans however I am partial to the Big 12 and my alma mater lost to Texas on Saturday...
ReplyDeleteTexas Tech, Leah? We caught part of that game when we stopped for a bite to eat on our way home. There was a point at the end of the third quarter/beginning of the fourth that it looked like your team might pull ahead. I would love for Florida to play Texas for the National Championship game, though. . . Tim Tebow and Colt McCoy on the same field. . . WOW! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha. Yes, our little Orange is coming to Big Orange Country! Wahoo! :) A friend has already bought her her 1st Vols shirt that says, "Color Me Orange." So cute. It was a good game on Saturday. I always enjoy watching the Gators play. There is no doubt about that. But, my heart will always be with the Vols. My husband graduated from UGA...his brother from Ga Tech, and our sister-in-law from Auburn, and me from UT...so football season always brings up lots of fun competition. :) My brother (who is not into sports at all) graduated from GA State...so that's a good thing. Love your pics!
