Evenings at the Beach

Most Sunday evenings between June and September, you can find the B family enjoying the sunset at our favorite beach. It's the perfect way to bid farewell to the weekend and get a last little bit of relaxation in before another busy week begins. A sure remedy for the Sunday night blues. We usually head over after Miss M's afternoon group violin lesson. We like to get there as the tourist crowds are leaving and the temperature starts to drop. We may just sit in the sand and watch the sunset. Or we may take a walk along the water and let the foam wash over our toes as the waves roll in. The girls love run around in the sand chasing sea gulls. If there's enough breeze, we fly our kite. Sometimes we take take the girls' swimsuits and let them wade in the water and build sandcastles. Occasionally, we start off the evening with a light dinner on the patio of Hurricane's, a fun seaside restaurant. We almost always cap off our trip with a stop at Larry's, an awesome little ice cream and gelato shop. This little tradition of ours is one of the best things about living close to the beach.
Here are some pictures from yesterday's trip.

  3. You have SUCH a beautiful family!!! I'd love to know where you go; we seem to find crummy spots when we go to the beach... very crowded & not with nice people! Also, where did you eat? You can email me at ahp5@aol.com if you prefer!
