Baby Parade 2011

March is an exciting month in our little town. It’s time for celebrating the strawberry harvest! Our annual Strawberry Festival is always a ton of fun, attracting visitors from all over the South--and with a great lineup of entertainment. Last year, we were still focusing on “cocooning” with Miss K, laying low and pretty much being homebodies. But we were back in the action this year! Rides, craft booths, art and cooking competitions, livestock shows, Robinson’s Racing Pigs, concerts (this year’s line-up included Jeremy Camp, Trace Adkins, Clint Black, The Judds and Lady Antebellum), and all the Strawberry Shortcake, Italian Sausages, Corndogs, Fried Green Tomatoes, Buckets of French Fries, and Roasted Corn we could eat! And of course, we were excited to debut Miss K in the annual Baby Parade!

This year’s theme was “TASTE THE FLAVOR OF FUN!”

Miss K’s float was HOT! HOT! HOT!

Her float got 3rd place in the 1 year old division and she won a 2nd place ribbon for Most Personality. As we joined the parade and approached the judges' table, she smiled and waved at them while shouting "Here I Come, Everybody! Here I Come!" Little Miss Personality for sure!

This was Miss A's last year to be in the parade. Her float was SWEET! Suited her to a tee! Her float won 3rd place in the 4 year old division.
