(updated June 2009)Welcome to the “B” family blog!
This blog is primarily authored by Mrs. B, wife to Hus-B, her high school sweetheart and husband of 12 years, mother to two so-cute-you-want-to-dunk-them-in-your-coffee girls, Miss M and Miss A, who struggles with balancing her inner domestic diva with her career as an attorney and who spends what personal time she has making our 107-year-old house a home, growing roses, cooking like Paula Deen and planning vacation itineraries.
Our blog was initially created as a way to keep our out-of-town family and friends in the loop regarding family news and our adoption from Ethiopia. We enjoy sharing pictures, narratives and musings related to our varied passions, including community service and volunteer work, life in a small Southern town, college football, horses, world travels, faith, adoption and precious ordinary moments shared with our children.
If no one other than our family ever visits this blog, it will have served its purpose. An unexpected bonus in this blogging endeavor, however, has been that we’ve made many new friends in “blogland” with whom we share one or more interests. We have learned from, laughed with, cried with and prayed for people whom we would have otherwise perhaps never crossed paths with. And who knew anyone other than family would actually find us interesting enough to check in on from time to time?
Welcome! Pour yourself a tall glass of sweet tea and get to know our family. Leave a comment and you're considered a friend
